Lithuanian Expatriate Art Foundation

Lietuvos Iseivijos Dailes Fondas (Lithuanian Expatriate Art Foundation) was established in 2010.  Its purpose is to promote modern society values and ideals while creating a gallery for artwork created by the Lithuanian expatriate artists.  At present, there exists no dedicated place in Lithuania where an all-encompassing collection of expatriate art would be on permanent display.

During WW2 a large number of the Lithuanian artists, both established and novice, have fled the country as part of a turmoil of historical events.  Emotional yearning for the homeland is strongly expressed in their works that have been scattered around the world.  They should be brought back to the homeland and form an integral part of the Lithuanian cultural heritage.
